Locked Fields

Overview

Locked fields can be configured for any custom field that exists on a Request or Order. Locked fields are only editable when the status of a Request or Order is "Draft", otherwise the fields will be read-only. The main use-cases for locked fields are:

  1. To prevent modifications on a procurement request once it has been "Submitted"

  2. To prevent modifications on an order when it has been submitted for review/approval (i.e. when the status does not equal "Draft"). This also helps to prevent changes after an order has been approved, ordered, or delivered.

Important Note: All line item fields currently behave as "Locked" fields when added to an Order, meaning that they cannot be modified when the order status does not equal "Draft".

How to mark a field as "Locked":

  1. As an Admin user, navigate to Organization Settings > Custom Fields.

  2. Navigate to a field that you want to mark as locked, and click the edit icon

  3. When the edit field modal is open, mark as "Locked".

  1. Close the modal & refresh your screen.
